Infrared thermography detects a temperature difference at the surface of the evaluated areas. This is not an X-ray or similar technology. An infrared scan cannot detect conditions that do not produce a temperature difference at the surface of the evaluated areas. The thermal imaging device cannot detect conditions behind any obstructions including furniture, pictures or anything that will obscure the surface of the area to be evaluated.
