Mark was AMAZING to work with. We’re buying a home long distance that is currently occupied by an Amish family. Through communication hurdles and the challenges that came with a home with no electricity, Mark was a rock, and persevered through unexpected delays and difficulties. He did a very thorough home inspection, an (electricity free) radon test, and a pest inspection for us, and was happy to explain and respond to ANY questions we had. Mark was polite and kind to the Amish home owners, who commented on how considerate he was of their lifestyle. He even found us a structural engineer when we asked for a recommendation. Mark and ProSpec absolutely went above and beyond, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he’s been the highlight of our home buying process.
I had no idea what a home inspection detailed other than someone coming out to look at a potential home. Mark was fantastic! He took the time to not only show us the problems every step of the way through the house but also explaining why it was a problem and what could be done to fix it. Mark is a wonderful inspector! He not only drove an hour to our location, but he spent 3 hours with us and we went through absolutely everything that could be amok with the house. He found things that we were not expecting and a major hazard that - after denial from the sellers to replace and/or fix- we ultimately canceled the purchase contract. I am eternally grateful for his expertise in making us aware of the safety hazard and not getting into a position where we would buy a house that was sub-par. I will call Mark Again when and if we find another house we want to buyThank you Mark !!!
Mark was absolutely fantastic. He is very very very thorough and had no problems answering all of our questions about what was written in his report. Very nice and easy to talk to. He found things that contractors later missed when work had to be done. Went on the roof, in the attic and looked at everything in the house. Like I said before he is very and knowledgeable I would not use anyone else. He was able to explain big issues and what things are more urgent than others. This is our first home and I'm learning that a great home inspector is worth their weight in gold. I will definitely be using Mark again in future purchases. Highly highly recommend.
